FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- The Fayetteville Police Homicide Unit has arrested a suspect in connection with the death of Angela Taylor, who was shot while she walked in Fayetteville on Tuesday evening.

Christopher David Lee, 30, of the 5300 block of Thacker Court in Fayetteville was charged Thursday with first-degree murder.

Lee turned himself in, a police spokesman said.

Taylor, a mother of six, died after she was shot about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday while walking near Andy Street and Ike Street.

Taylor, 32, died at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Wednesday morning from her injuries.

Police had been trying to identify a motorcyclist who was seen leaving Andy Street and turning onto Bragg Boulevard minutes after the shooting.

Lee is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.
