DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham police are searching for a man charged with breaking into an apartment and setting several fires after his eviction.

Johnathan Robert Warda, 28, faces charges of burglary and first-degree arson.

Investigators say he broke into an apartment on Chapel Hill Road earlier this week, and set several fires in the apartment.

Investigators say he had been evicted from the apartment several days earlier.

The fires damaged the apartment, police say, but did not spread to other apartments.

Anyone with information about Warda is asked to call Investigator R. Guardino at (919) 560-4583, ext. 29364 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.

CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
