Police investigate fatal shooting in Fayetteville

Fayetteville police are asking anyone with information about the fatal shooting in Fayetteville to call them

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Detectives in Fayetteville are investigating a fatal shooting in the 3500 block of Torbay Drive.

It happened around 9:10 p.m. Friday.

Police said 28-year-old Jahir Alexander Barrios was shot when he answered the front door of a home.

Barrios was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Others were inside the home at the time of the shooting but were not injured.

Detectives are seeking the public's assistance in locating 24-year-old Markisha Pittman of Livingston Drive. Detectives said she is wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting.
