FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Authorities in Fayetteville are looking for two suspects in connection with several reported armed robberies and sexual assaults over the weekend.

The first reported attack happened Friday evening in the parking lot of the Eutaw Shopping Center.

The victim told police she was approached by two men in a silver car. One of the men, she said, had a pistol and forced her into the car.

The suspects drove her to an unknown location, according to police, where they then assaulted, raped and robbed her. When they left her there, the woman managed to walk to Eastern Boulevard, where she called 911.

On Sunday, Cumberland County Sheriff's detectives said two different women reported they were sexually assaulted and robbed at gunpoint before being left at the crime scene.

One woman told authorities she was offered a ride near the McDonald's on Pamalee Drive, while the other said two men offered her a ride near Cape Fear Valley Medical Center off Owen Drive. Both victims said they were assaulted in a rural, unfamiliar part of Cumberland County.

At a media briefing Monday, Fayetteville Police Chief Harold Medlock warned shoppers be on the alert and to use common sense.

"Don't get in a car with someone you don't know," said Medlock. "If you are driving or walking through a parking lot, and someone calls you over to their car, and you don't know who they are, don't go. Don't get close to the car. In fact, turn around and walk away. Go back in the store. Alert someone in the parking lot to call 911."

The victims described the suspects as being between the ages of 22 and 26-years-old. One of them had a light complexion, was 6 feet tall and weighed about 180 pounds. The other had a darker complexion and 5' 7" to 5' 9" tall with a stocky build and weighed about 300 pounds.

Authorities said the men are believed to be driving a newer model, silver-colored Nissan Altima and are considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two men is asked to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500 or dial 911.
