Serious crash causes traffic backups on I-440 eastbound near Poole Road in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- An accident on Interstate 440 eastbound in Wake County caused traffic backups around 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

The left lane near Poole Road was shut down for about an hour.

No word on injuries, but an ambulance appeared to be on the scene.
