FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A grieving brother wants justice after witnessing his brother's murder Tuesday night.

Tyrone Shepard, 23, was walking home when police say two men jumped out of a car and robbed and shot him.

"It's something that should not have happened," said Tyrone's brother, Earnest Shepard.

Tyrone was just 50 feet from his driveway when he was shot. Shepard was in the front yard and saw the events unfold.

"This guy had a gun to my brother's head while the other guy patted him down," said Earnest. "I yelled and started going his way. My brother seen me running, so he turns and hits the guy holding the gun. Then,he shot my brother two times in the face."

Tyrone later died at the hospital.

Late Wednesday, police released pictures of the suspect's car that was taken by a home security camera down the street. Police say the car is believed to be a light silver or champagne-colored four-door sedan.

"Detectives are working on a better description of the vehicle," said Fayetteville Police Lt. Todd Joyce. "Hopefully, someone can identify that vehicle that was on Callahan Circle Tuesday night."

On the quiet neighborhood street, residents say there is an ugly stain of violence.

"Oh, we walked outside around 9 o'clock and, me and my mom, and we heard gunshots, back to back. Pow, pow, pow," said Teresa Ward. "I mean, we never have any problems out here, ever. It's a big shocker. It really is."

Police say they are looking for two suspects: an African-American and a white man.

They ask anyone who knows anything about the suspects or the car, to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 587-3254 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
