Teen charged in Haymount shooting

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Fayetteville teen has been charged in a Haymount neighborhood shooting that took place earlier this week.

Byron Michael Furrell, of the 1700 block of Raeford Road, has been charged with discharging a firearm within city limits.

Police said Furrell fired a shotgun into a Fuller Street home around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The homeowner and her friend said they were watching television in the living room when the bullet flew through the backyard fence, pierced the dining room walls and ricocheted over their heads in the living room.

No one was injured.
