Crash in Clayton causes power outages

CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Power has been fully restored to hundreds of homes in Clayton after a drunk driver crashed into a power pole.

Police said 19-year-old Kylie Severino drove off the road just after 5 p.m. Friday on Glen Laurel Road in Clayton.

Severino has been charged with a DWI and for driving drunk under the age of 21 among other charges.

Police said her blood alcohol level was 0.15. The legal limit is 0.08

Power was restored to 650 homes just before midnight.

No one else was involved in the crash.
