Two charged after Marine killed in Raleigh hit-and-run

A Camp Lejeune marine was killed in a hit-and-run on Glenwood Ave.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A US Marine was killed just before 10 p.m. Friday in a hit-an-run accident on Glenwood Avenue.

Raleigh police said Nathan Scott Bizzell, 20, of Camp Lejeune, was headed west when he hit another vehicle from behind just past Brier Creek in the westbound lanes.

He got out to check on the damage and the other driver when he was hit by another car - killing him. The driver of that car then fled the scene on foot.

Police said they've tracked down the driver. Joseph Nicholas Passalinqua Jr., 32, of Raleigh, is charged with felony hit-and-run involving death.

Kathleen Ann Capece, 32, also of Raleigh is charged with aid and abet felony hit and run involving a death.
