CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Campus police say in broad daylight in front of the UNC Hospital, a man exposed himself to a woman waiting at the bus stop. It happened just before noon Saturday on Manning Drive.

UNC employees tell ABC11 that stretch of campus is heavily patrolled by police and they're in shock this happened.

"I would have called 911 right then and there," said Diana Eubanks. "I would have been real scared."

"I really wouldn't expect that to happen in broad daylight, especially in front of the hospital," said Vanessa Moore.

Police say the woman immediately walked away and called authorities.

The man police are looking for right now is a black male in his late 20s-to-early 30s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. The suspect was described as being bald or having short-cropped hair and possibly having short facial hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Campus employees say they're concerned for the safety of the Carolina community and question if there should be even more security.

"This a college, so you got a lot of young ladies and stuff out here too, just as well as men," said Eubanks.

Anyone with information that might assist the investigation of the case should call 911 or call CrimeStoppers at (919) 942-7515.
