Twenty-three-year-old facing DWI and felony death by vehicle charges following accident at Glenwood Avenue just after midnight Monday.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A woman is under arrest after a fatal accident involving a motorcyclist early Monday.

It happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 440 near Glenwood Avenue.

The Raleigh Police Department said 50-year-old Thomas John Anstey was headed west on I-440 riding a Honda motorcycle when he was hit from behind. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the driver who allegedly hit Anstey -- 23-year-old Keira Jo Sprouse -- left her car, but fled the scene before officers arrived. She was later found at her home about 10 miles away.
