Woman killed in crash near Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, NC (WTVD) -- The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash just outside Smithfield Friday night.

Troopers said two cars hit head-on along Buffalo Road near Booker Dairy Road.

The preliminary investigation shows the woman drifted left of center and hit the other car.

Crystal Annette Capps, 42, of Holland Drive, Smithfield, was killed.

Two people in the second car were rushed to WakeMed. Their conditions weren't immediately available.
