DURHAM, NC -- The Durham Workers Assembly and other protesters marched in downtown Durham on May Day to demand higher wages, union rights, an end to ICE raids and evictions.

In a release, the Durham Workers Assembly said it has been pressuring the city for the last few months to adopt a Workers Rights Commission to oversee labor conditions and wages for all employers inside the city.
