McCrory dodges questions about HB2
Gov. Pat McCrory

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Gov. Pat McCrory is still feeling the heat over controversial House Bill 2.

Thursday morning, the governor shut down questions about HB2 while at an open house at the Edgecombe Youth Development Center in Rocky Mount.

"You are not going to get me off mental health ... mental health and addiction for our young kids is such an important issue," he said. "I think I've given you ... anything else? Thank you. Anything else? Thank you very much."

It comes hours after protesters gathered outside the governor's mansion Wednesday night to demonstrate against the bathroom law.
