Rewards cards are a great way to get discounts and freebies and the latest 'Plenti' card by American Express does just that without being tied to a single company or credit card.
The Plenti card allows you to earn points on everyday items like gas, or paying a phone or electric bill.
Every time you spend money, you earn 'Plenti Points' and the number of points earned varies from merchant to merchant.
Plenti Points can be redeemed in 1 thousand point increments which is equal to $10 in savings.
In the Raleigh area, you can redeem these points at Macy's, participating Exxon Mobil Gas Stations, and Rite Aid.
You can earn points by shopping at the stores where you redeem as well as AT&T, Nationwide, and online with Hulu. Points also can be accumulated with car rental companies Enterprise, Alamo, and National.
Plenti also has local supermarkets that take part in the program including BJ's, Food Lion, and Lowes.
