ABC11 sponsors Stop Summer Hunger food drive at Southpoint

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Please join ABC 11, NetApp, Food Lion and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina for the 7th Annual Stop Summer Hunger Campaign with events scheduled Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31 at the Streets at Southpoint Mall in Durham.

We urge you to drop off bags of non-perishable food items at the drop-off location outside Champps restaurant Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers will collect bags from people in their cars as they drive by.

Prior to Saturday's food drive, volunteers from Cisco will be building a model of the Stop Hunger Now logo out of cans. Watch live reports on both events Friday and Saturday on ABC 11 Eyewitness News.
