Top-30 prospect Maverick Rowan has committed to NC State and will reclassify to the 2015 class, he told ESPN.com.

Rowan was ranked No. 30 in the ESPN 100 for the 2016 class, but he has been working toward reclassifying to 2015 over the past few months. He told ESPN he recently graduated high school after finishing necessary summer classes and will be able to play for the Wolfpack this season.

"Great relationship with the coaches, [Mark] Gottfried and [Orlando] Early," Rowan said of his decision to choose the Wolfpack. "They have been loyal and stayed with me through everything this year. Gottfried does a great job for his wings, and I feel I can go in and be the same type of player T.J. Warren and Trevor Lacey were."

Rowan took official visits to St. John's and Louisville and also considered West Virginia.

The 6-foot-6 small forward from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was arguably the top piece still on the board for the 2015-16 season. He averaged 19.2 points per game and shot 40.6 percent from 3-point range on the Nike EYBL circuit with the Each 1 Teach 1 AAU program this spring.Rowan's ability to make shots from the perimeter will give the Wolfpack a major boost on the wing.

Rowan joins Shaun Kirk, another late addition, in Gottfried's 2015 recruiting class.
