ROUGH LANDING

It was anything but a smooth flight for passengers aboard a small commuter plane in Canada Thursday.

Something went wrong with the propeller plane's landing gear on takeoff, and the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in Edmonton.

The landing gear collapsed on one side, sending sparks shooting down the runway.

Three people on board suffered minor injuries.

SNAKES IN A HOME

Garter snakes by the hundreds keep slithering into a home in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The homeowner had more than 100 removed a couple of weeks ago, and just had to get rid of 119 more.

The animals are apparently getting in through cracks in the foundation. The homeowner wants to get them all out before sealing the holes.

LADY BUG INVASION

In Lipova, Romania, it's not snakes, but ladybugs that are invading a home.

Thousands of the insects have taken over the house. They cover the walls, floors, and counters as they look for places to hibernate for the winter.

TWIN WATERSPOUTS

Two waterspouts formed simultaneously off the coast of Liguria, Italy as a thunderstorm moved through Thursday. Both dissipated before reaching land and causing no damage but making for quite a scene.
