Power outage at RDU
The airport ran on backup generators and no flights were delayed

MORRISVILLE (WTVD) -- Parts of Raleigh-Durham International Airport temporarily ran on backup generator power Monday morning after a failure at a Duke Energy Progress substation caused a partial electricity outage.

A spokesperson said security checkpoints, airline computers, and other parts of Terminal 2 were affected.

The problem did not cause any flight delays.

The outage started just after 6:30 a.m. and was resolved by 9 a.m.
