Overnight weather forecast

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Aside from a stray shower, the afternoon will be cloudy, dry and breezy. Clouds will gradually decrease later in the day.

Lows tonight will drop into the 30s tonight under clear skies.

Temperatures will climb to around 70 tomorrow under mostly sunny skies as high pressure builds over the region. Wednesday will be warmer with a few afternoon clouds and highs in the mid/upper 70s. Clouds will increase Wednesday night and Thursday ahead of the next cold front.

That front will bring the chance of a few showers to Central NC. There may be a few rumbles of thunder, but widespread storms are not expected.

It will cool down again by Friday. Highs will be in the low 60s and lows near 40. On Saturday, highs will climb back into the middle 60s, and we'll be around 70 degrees on Sunday.

There's the potential for a weak disturbance to move across the mid-Atlantic on Saturday. A few showers can't be ruled out on Saturday afternoon at this team.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
