RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Good morning! Brief, light showers will be possible this morning for Central NC. There is Level 1 of 5 risk of isolated severe storms Thanksgiving Day (Thurdsay). Damaging wind gusts and isolated hail are the main concerns. The coldest air of the season, so far, arrives this weekend with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s.
A Few Morning Showers: A weak cold front will bring a few showers this morning, with just a few strays this afternoon. Out-the-door temps are in the 50s. Highs will be in the mid 60s to around 70. It'll be colder tonight with lows in the 30s.
Good Travel Weather Wed: Weather will be good for travel Wednesday. Skies will be cloudy with highs in the low to mid 60s.
Turkey Day-First Alert Day: The next front will bring periods of rain and isolated storms. There is an isolated severe risk. Most rain totals will be around 0.50" or less. Highs will be in the low 60s.
Turning Colder: By Friday, dry weather is once again expected, but it'll be cooler with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
The coldest air of the season, so far, with move in Friday night and through much of next week. Weekend highs will be int eh 40s. Overnight lows will also drop significantly, with many places of the Triangle reaching below freezing each morning, even into the low to mid 20s with feels-like temps in the teens.
