ABC11 Meteorologist Don Schwenneker says the snow flurries are not sticking to the ground in most areas. The precipitation will change to all rain before clearing out later in the day.

"It will spit out a little rain, and some snowflakes, at times across the Triangle today," said Schwenneker. "With the clouds, temperatures will have a hard time going any higher than the middle 40s this afternoon. It will dry out in time for any holiday parties you might head to this evening with temps falling through the 30s."

Later next week, we will gradually warm with off-and-on showers through Christmas Eve. Air travel may be difficult by midweek as a storm moves into the northeast.

Around here, we dry out with sunshine on Christmas and temps in the 50s.
