
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- First Alert Forecast: Rain is finally expected tonight as drought conditions continue to worsen across Central NC.
Showers and isolated storms continue tonight and linger through early Sunday.
It'll be cloudy, cooler and breezy Sunday with some left-over spotty showers, mainly in the morning hours. Highs will only be in the 60s.
Better and brighter conditions are expected for Monday, with highs in the lower 70s. Clouds increase Tuesday out ahead of our next front, then the next best chance for rain arrives on Wednesday.
Showers and storms will arrive during the afternoon hours Wednesday and will be scattered in nature. The rain will continue through Wednesday evening.
It'll dry out again toward the end of the week. Highs will stay generally below average for the next 7 days.
