Not as Cold Thursday

Get ready for another cold night. Lows will drop to the upper 20s and low 30s across the area. A few clouds will push in this evening, but there won't be enough to ruin viewing conditions for the Geminid meteor show.

A disturbance will push across the Mid-Atlantic states Thursday developing a few clouds. That could squeeze out a few sprinkles near the Virginia border, but things will stay mainly dry. Highs Thursday will be closer to average reaching the low 50s.

High pressure will settle just west of the area Friday into Saturday so the first half of the weekend will be dry. Rain chances will start to go up though late Sunday as an area of low pressure tracks along the east coast. Right now that low will bring us just rain, and those showers will stick around through early Monday.

Have a great evening!
