RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Not much new to talk about this afternoon as sunshine and a pleasant day gives way to a very nice evening, then clouds start to increase overnight. Min temps tonight will be a few higher than this morning, mainly due to the increase in cloud cover.

Tomorrow will be a much cloudier day than recent days as a warm front pushes by to our north. Without much forcing, any light showers will be few and far between. Overall, tomorrow will not be a bad day, with highs in the mid-70s.

As this warm front lifts to the north on Sunday, clouds will begin to dissipate. Strong warming at mid-levels will allow afternoon temperatures to reach at least 80. It's the first of many days which will reach or exceed the 80 degree mark next week.

With the ground as dry as it is, there is likely to be a day later in the week that will make a run at or surpass the 90-degree mark. That day seems most likely to be Thursday.

A weakening cold front will be approaching from the west on Tuesday. It may be strong enough to trigger a shower or thunderstorm through the Triangle later in the afternoon or at night. There will be another opportunity for a thunderstorm on Thursday.

Ready or not, the weather next week will have a June feel. If don't like the warmer weather, enjoy the one last day with comfortable temps tomorrow. Let's hope that potential thunderstorms next week happen. The dry ground is in need of a drink.

Have a great weekend!
