Gift of Knowledge Academy serves K-2 kids from low-income homes, presented Triangle NC Cares Award
Gift of Knowledge Academy, located in Durham, NC, specializes in K-2 education for children from low-income households. They are being recognized with the Triangle NC Cares Award for May, sponsored by the Ricci Law Firm.
About Gift of Knowledge Academy
"Gift of Knowledge Academy is an independent, nonprofit school for grades K-2 serving mostly low-income families, although families of all income levels are welcomed. Gift of Knowledge Academy will give children in grades K-2 a solid foundation in literacy and math by hiring highly qualified teachers and tutors, who have worked well with young children in urban settings. We are passionate about helping to eradicate illiteracy, decreasing the dropout rate, bridging the literacy gap, and helping to build the self-confidence and self-esteem of beginning readers and learners."
