Wake County man charged in rape case dating to 2011, 2014

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Wake County man has been charged in connection with a rape investigation involving a juvenile.

On Feb. 20, the Wake County Sheriff's Office received a report of an alleged sexual assault against a juvenile that happened in 2011 and 2014.

After an investigation, 35-year-old Andrew Penvose was charged with one count of felony statutory rape/sex offense between an adult and a minor with an age difference of six years or more.

On March 5, Penvose was taken into custody and booked into the Wake County Detention Center.

No additional information about the case was released by the Sheriff's Office.
