Spotty shower Sunday morning

First Alert Mid-morning Forecast: April 26

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Nice to talk about rain again! Showers moved in yesterday late day and overnight with many areas getting .25 - .50" of rain.

South and east of I-95 had the most with doppler estimates around 1" in Wayne county!

Still a few spotty showers around through lunchtime today, then just cloudy, cooler and breezy with highs in the 60s.

RDU hit 90 degrees yesterday which is the 5thtime this month!

We've never done that before at RDU...did it 4 times on 3 different occasions but never 5.

Some chilly morning for the next two days in the 40s, then a good chance for showers and storms arrives Wednesday.

Could we get rain next Saturday? It's possible...the EURO has the moisture too far south, but other global models are trying to bring in some good amounts of rain. We'll fine tune the forecast as we get closer.

Have a great day!
