Deputies: NC juvenile tries to set dog on fire using aerosol can, lighter

GUILFORD COUNTY, North Carolina -- Criminal charges may be forthcoming for two North Carolina juveniles after a video surfaced showing one of them using an aerosol can and lighter to ignite a flame toward a dog, WGHP reports.

According to a news release from the Guilford County Sheriff's Office, authorities began investigating after the video surfaced on social media.

The dog was found with minimal injury and is currently in the custody of Guilford County Animal Control.

Deputies said the dog's fur was singed, but the skin was not burned.

Authorities have not released the names of the juveniles involved.
