Body found along I-85 near Falls Lake identified

DURHAM (WTVD) -- The Durham County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found along I-85 at the Redwood Road Exit near Falls Lake around 6 a.m Sunday.

Detectives have identified the man as 26-year-old Franklin Martinez.

Detective said Martinez died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Martinez was wearing an Anheuser Busch wristband that is sometimes used at nightclubs. He was last reported alive by friends at Sabor Latino Night Club, located at N. Roxboro Road at Monk Street in Durham.
