1 dead, 1 injured after shooting in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- One person is dead and one person was taken to the hospital after a shooting Sunday morning in Fayetteville.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Rim Road.

Police said the two victims were shot at a residence. One person died at the scene while the other was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family.
