Bouncy balls are not only fun to play with - they can also be quite scientific. Follow along with ABC11 Science Club with BASF and discover how to create a bouncing polymer at home!

How does it work?

This activity demonstrates a unique chemical reaction between the borax and the glue. The borax acts as connector to the polymer molecules in the glue, helping to create chains of molecules that stay together when you pick them up. The cornstarch also helps to bind the molecules together so that they hold their shape better.
