RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Two people were injured when a car struck them at the Walmart on New Bern Avenue on Saturday.

Mary Pharr, 60, and Abram Servance, 80, were hit near the bus stop.

The two victims were taken to WakeMed for treatment of their injuries.

The driver of the car that hit them fled the scene. Raleigh police tracked down the driver and stopped him at Millbrook Road and Green Road.

The suspect, 23-year-old Devin Robert Singleton-Young, was arrested and charged with DWI, two counts of felony hit and run, careless and reckless driving, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of marijuana.

Singleton-Young is being held in the Wake County Detention Center.
