Spring Lake Police search for murder suspect
SPRING LAKE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Spring Lake police have issued an arrest warrant for a Fayetteville man in connection with a fatal shooting early Saturday morning.
The warrant charges Jerri D. Davis, aka "Tweet," with first-degree murder in the death of Cary Terell McLean.
Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.
The police department and sheriff's deputies were called out to a shooting in the 400 block of D Street around 1:30 a.m.
Authorities say McLean, 30, was found dead in a front yard.
Police believe the shooting was related to an argument between McLean and an acquaintance of Davis.
Investigators believe other unidentified suspects committed the crime along with Davis, and the search for them continues.
The police chief told ABC11 this was Spring Lake's first murder since December of 2012.
