Man shot in Clayton home invasion

CLAYTON, NC (WTVD) -- The Johnston County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at a home outside Clayton.

It happened on Glenn Street off Ranch Road around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

A preliminary investigation shows an 18-year-old was wounded during a home invasion style robbery. Deputies said three men were involved in the robbery.

The victim - who has not been identified - was rushed to WakeMed where he was in serious condition.
