Severn fire chief dies after responding to car crash

SEVERN, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Severn Fire Chief Kevin Britt, 54, died after responding to a vehicle crash on Friday night into Saturday morning, according to the North Carolina Firemen's Association.

The NCFA said he suffered a medical emergency but no other details were available.

No word yet on funeral arrangements.
