CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- Authorities have arrested three teens after bricks were thrown off an Interstate 95 overpass in Cumberland County.

On Monday about 9:45 p.m., the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office received a call about rocks being dropped onto a car and four tractor trailers from the Baggett Road overpass.

One of the bricks crashed through the windshield of a tractor trailer, barely missing the driver and his passenger. Another brick smashed the sunroof of the car.

Officials said a white BMW was seen leaving the scene.

It wasn't the first time this has happened in the area, so authorities were patrolling nearby, hoping to catch someone in the act. Luckily, no one has been seriously hurt in any of the incidents.

A short time after Monday's report, authorities found a white 328i BMW about 2 miles south on Percy Strickland Road. The vehicle was parked with the windows down and the keys still in it.

Deputies arrested Bobby Stone, Javier Prieto Jr., and Alex Alvarado.

"They were taken into custody for throwing rocks from the bridge. I'm told the size of the rocks range in size from a baseball to a softball to a little bit bigger - like a brick," said Sgt. Sean Swain with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
