We switched to all-digital transmission on June 12. If you had a converter box hooked up, you had to rescan with your remote to get all the channels in their digital locations.
The FCC reports that, as currently licensed, FCC computer models predict some viewers of 13 ABC's analog signal will not be able to see our digital signal after June 12, 2009.
Based on FCC estimates for 13 ABC's current power level, 13 ABC will experience an analog service loss of 99,092 viewers after the DTV transition. The majority of the affected viewers live in the extreme limits of the 13 ABC coverage area. Small portions of Oakland, Macomb and Hillsdale counties in Michigan and to a lesser extent in Huron and Erie Counties in Ohio may suffer potential loss of over-the-air service
WILL THE POTENTIAL LOSS OF SERVICE AFFECT YOU? The FCC has developed several tools to assist you in determining whether you are likely to experience a loss of service from 13 ABC. Visit www.dtv.gov to see analog/digital change maps. Visit www.dtv.gov/maps for the FCC's online digital reception mapping tool. These sites also provide information about proper antenna selection and installation and re-scanning procedures to maximize your ability to receive digital television signals.

Keep in mind that the VHF channels from 5 through 13 will be used, as well as UHF channels 14 through 51. A UHF-only antenna may not pick up the VHF stations. There has been a misconception about this issue and many antennas were marketed as HDTV antennas, but were not capable of receiving VHF.
