Fmr NC State player charged with DWI 6 times

RALEIGH

Grundy was arrested again Wednesday after being suspected of driving while impaired on U.S. 401 South in Wake County just after 1 p.m.

Police have charged Grundy with habitual impaired driving, which is a felony.

He was charged with DWI in Nash County in July, 2003 - about six weeks before his first DWI arrest in Wake County. The charge was later dismissed.

He has three DWI convictions and a fourth case pending.

Authorities say Grundy's blood alcohol content Wednesday was .16, twice the legal limit.

Grundy was a standout point guard for NC State from 1998 to 2001, when he was named to the 1st Team All-ACC.
