Two dead, three injured in Durham shooting

It happened just after 3 p.m. at JT Tire - located at the intersection of East Geer St. and Ferrell Rd. in Durham.

The Durham County Sheriff's Office two of the victims were killed in the shootings. They have been identified as 65-year-old Naomi Turner Wright, who ran the front desk at the store, and 32-year-old Abdelgadir Mergany Abdelganir, a cab driver who was at the shop for a repair.

Two others were wounded, but their names and conditions have not been released. A fifth person, the owner of JT Tires, sustained minor injuries while trying to seek cover during the gunfire.

Deputies said the suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a tattoo on the left side of his face, wearing a bright colored t-shirt. He reportedly fled the scene driving a silver sedan.
