Two hurt when vehicle falls into Chatham County creek

CHATHAM COUNTY (WTVD) -- Two people were hospitalized after a traffic accident when a vehicle went off a bridge and into a creek Wednesday.

It happened on a bridge on R. Jordan Road in southern Chatham County. As a result, officials closed a section of the road between Rosser Road and Clarence McKeithan Road.

The road has since reopened.

Both of the vehicle's occupants were taken to a hospital. Authorities said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
