But in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Holly Springs Barbecue Company has taken a taste of the Tar Heel State to Houston, helping out with relief efforts by smoking thousands of pounds of pork, chicken and turkeys.

On its Facebook page, Holly Springs Barbecue Company said Team NC has smoked more than 5,000 pounds worth of barbecued goodness.
It's all part of Operation BBQ Relief, which is helping to feed victims of Harvey as they dry out and recover in the aftermath of the disastrous storm.
