Man charged with indecent exposure to children

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A man was arrested Thursday in connection with an indecent exposure incident in Raleigh.

Authorities said two 11-year-old girls were walking near Valley Estates Drive and Albacore Lane when 29-year-old Robert John Richards allegedly pulled up next to them and exposed himself.

Richards was arrested at a home in the 7000-block of Mill Ridge Road.

Later in the day, police said 44-year-old Vina Melissa Whitfield was arrested for resisting a public officer at the same location.

Whitfield told ABC11 that she was Richards' landlord.
