Suspect identified in Sampson Co. Lakewood Country Club shooting

SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Sampson County Sheriff's Office says it has identified a suspect in Sunday's triple shooting at Lakewood Country Club in Salemburg.

Deputies have obtained arrest warrants for Emmanuel Mikel Kerr, 21, of Garland, NC. They say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Kerr is accused of the murder of Anthony King, of Roseboro, and the shooting of Daniel Cooper.

The charges against Kerr include murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating Kerr. He is approximately 5'6" tall and weighs around 220 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sampson County Sheriff's Office at (910) 592-4141 or on the Sheriff's Anonymous Tip Line at (910) 564-5261.

Additional arrests in the case are expected.
