RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Those behind the Moral Monday movement put down their signs and headed to church on Wednesday to honor the one-week anniversary of the church shooting in Charleston.

Organizers told ABC11 it was more important to be at the Pullen Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh than at the Legislative Building.

On June 17, nine people were gunned down during a bible study at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston.

So, just as the nine victims were in Bible study one week ago, those in Raleigh held a Bible study in their memory.
