NC State University opens first on-campus hotel
RALEIGH (WTVD) -- NC State University's first on-campus hotel opened its doors to guests Wednesday.
StateView Hotel, a boutique Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, is located on Alumni Drive on Centennial Campus.
Nestled against Lake Raleigh, the 164-room hotel is next door to the NC State University Alumni Center and Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
Wolfpack pride is written in the details; old copies of NCSU yearbooks are displayed on shelves in the library sitting room, customized wallpaper showcase patents belonging to NC State graduates, and wolfpack paintings adorn the walls.
Director of Sales and Marketing, Karris Deis, said with the help of 10,000 square feet of meeting space, the hotel will aim to create an environment of collaboration for alumni, parents, and businesses alike.
"What you're gonna find throughout the whole hotel are all of these pockets for a couple old friends to get together and share a story, for two business partners to share an idea," said Deis.
