Durham police identify homicide victim on E. Main Street

Victim identified in Durham shooting
The victim in a Monday shooting on East Main Street has been identified.

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a homicide that happened Monday night in the 900 block of East Main Street.

Durham Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting shortly after 7 p.m. When they arrived, they found 34-year-old Larry Donnell Owens of Durham dead from a gunshot wound.

Police don't yet have anyone in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Police rope off the scene of the fatal shooting.
