FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A family remains heartbroken as police continue searching for a group of killers. Someone dropped off Lavar Gregory at the hospital in Fayetteville without an explanation.

There are few words to describe the heartbreak that Gregory's family feels. Memories and pictures of good times are all they have left. It's all overshadowed by grief.

"It's just hard to believe we will never see him again," said Lavar's sister, Shapuriaa Gregory. "It's just really hard."

Shapuriaa said her brother was shot early Sunday morning in the parking lot of a Bragg Boulevard nightclub. He and friends had partied there when there was some kind of altercation in the parking lot. Lavar got shot then ran over to Blue Street where he collapsed from two gunshot wounds.

Security cameras at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center showed a friend dropping Gregory off at the Emergency Room. He died a few hours later. His killer is still on the loose.

"It's been really, really hard," said Lavar's sister, Echo Gregory-Fairley. "He was such a good person. He just did not deserve to be shot and killed."

Police have identified and questioned the person who dropped Gregory off at the hospital. Detectives also have descriptions of four suspects, who are known to frequent area clubs. What police need are names to go with the descriptions.

The family needs an arrest for closure, and some donations to help bury Lavar. Click here to learn how you can help.
