2 SC police officers injured during training exercise

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WTVD) -- A training exercise left two police officers injured in South Carolina.

It happened Tuesday afternoon in a building in Greenville.

Two deputies were shot during an exercise.

Both are expected to be ok, but both were taken to the hospital and one required surgery.

Experts say live rounds are not usually used during training.

It's possible someone made a mistake and forgot to remove them.

An investigation is now underway.
