The Stanley Cup playoffs are truly unpredictable. The Colorado Avalanche had been the championship favorites for nearly the entire regular season and postseason and had been +130 to hoist the Cup coming into the Western Conference final, but they were swept in their series with the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights have correspondingly rocketed up the Stanley Cup winner board, going from +600 before the series and now sitting at +130.
The Carolina Hurricanes are the odds-on title favorites at -145, improving their odds from +195 after winning games three straight games in the Eastern Conference final; the Montreal Canadiens, who took Game 1,dropped from +370 to +950 after losing Games 2 and 3 and are now +3000. Carolina is back out to a huge odds lead to win the Eastern Conference at -3000, with Montreal at +1300.
