
TARBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- Amazon is expanding its delivery network across North Carolina with five new delivery stations opening from the mountains to the coast.
The company says the expansion has created more than 700 full time and part time jobs statewide.

On Wednesday morning, Amazon welcomed state and local officials - including Lt. Gov. Rachel Hunt and Deputy Commerce Secretary Kenny Flowers - for a behind the scenes tour and ribbon cutting ceremony at Tarboro's first Amazon delivery station.
The remaining four new stations will be located in Jacksonville, Southern Pines, Mount Airy and Hayesville.
